The Shrine of the Sacred Heart is located in the Columbia Heights/ Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of DC. It is easily accessible by public transportation.

By Metro:  Sacred Heart is a couple of blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro stop, about a 10-minute walk.
 
By Bus:  There are several bus routes that either pass in front of the Church or close to it. 
 
 S2, S9: stops at 16th and Park Rd. in front of the Church. 
 H8: on the corner of 16th and Park Rd, across from the Church
 H4: 16th and Irving, a short walk to the Church.
